Manchester United set to Sign £60m Tottenham Star

Manchester United reportedly want to do another deal with Daniel Levy for Tottenham Hotspur star Eriksen.

Manchester United are hoping that an ambitious approach for Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen pays off this summer despite knowing that striking a deal with Daniel Levy will be easier said than done, according to the Standard.

United are set for a substantial summer overhaul after their weaknesses were exposed by a run of seven defeats in nine games. And Eriksen, who has been a target for the Old Trafford giants since the days of Louis Van Gaal, is reported to have emerged as a genuine priority.

It is well documented that the Danish international has stalled on extending a £70,000 a week contract that expires in 2020, meaning Spurs could be forced to sell a player they value at £60 million before he becomes available on a free.

And the Standard reports that Manchester United are hoping to rival Real Madrid for his signature. Tottenham, understandably, would rather sell to the La Liga giants in order to avoid strengthening a direct Premier League rival.

Legendary United manager Sir Alex Ferguson famously described negotiations with Spurs chairman Levy as ‘more painful than my hip replacement’ in his 2015 book Leading, referring to the club’s attempts to bring Dimitar Berbatov to Old Trafford over a decade ago.

Meet The Man Who Sold Nigeria To The British For £865k In 1899

This is the story of the first oil war, which was fought in the 19th century, in the area that became Nigeria. All through the 19th century, palm oil was highly sought-after by the British, for use as an industrial lubricant for machinery. Remember that Britain was the world’s first industrialised nation, so they needed resources such as palm oil to maintain that. King Koko Palm oil, of course, is a tropical plant, which is native to the Niger Delta. Malaysia’s dominance came a century later. By 1870, palm oil had replaced slaves as the main export of the Niger Delta, the area which was once known as the Slave Coast. At first, most of the trade in the oil palm was uncoordinated, with natives selling to those who gave them the best deals. Native chiefs such as former slave, Jaja of Opobo became immensely wealthy because of oil palm. With this wealth came influence. However, among the Europeans, there was competition for who would get preferential access to the lucr...
