Liverpool Will Sell Superstar If They Get Talented Youngster From Real Madrid In Return, More Sports News On Monday

Real Madrid v Leganes - Copa del Rey Round of 16

Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Premiership!

Manchester madness

Manchester United superstar Romelu Lukaku has claimed that he would love to move to Serie A someday. The Belgian was signed by Manchester United for a whopping £75 million but hasn’t been as good as they would have liked him to be.

That has, however, not stopped the former Chelsea star from dreaming about a move to Italy, claiming that he wants to play there soon but also added that he is focused on finishing fourth with the Red Devils.

"Playing in Serie A is a dream for me, it would really be a dream," he said. "I hope I can play there sooner or later, although I'm focused on the present, which is at United and trying to finish fourth.

He then added that he had the chance to join Juventus but rejected a potential move.

"When I decided to leave Chelsea, I had the chance to go to Juventus. I don't know why, but I just didn't feel like it -- something didn't convince me."

Meanwhile, another player who might move away from the Old Trafford is Paul Pogba. However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is of the belief that the Madrid-linked Frenchman might be at United next season while also praising him as being “fantastic” and holding the ability to be a leader in the dressing room for the Red Devils.

"I think he will be here next season," said Solskjaer.

"Paul has done fantastic for us. We want him to do well. He is a leader in the dressing room.

"If I could guarantee I would say yes. You can't guarantee but I think he will be."

Offers for Asensio

Real Madrid CF v Athletic Club - La Liga

Real Madrid superstar Marco Asensio’s agent Horacio Gaggioli has claimed that the Galacticos received bids for the Spaniard in the past but they rejected them.

Despite not having a good season with the Bernabeu outfit, the Galacticos still count on the youngster as his agent has claimed that the interest in Asensio has always been there from top clubs.

However, the Liverpool-linked player is happy at Real Madrid and only wants to succeed with the Merengues.

“Over the last year there have been offers as high as €150m and €180m, but Madrid did not want to listen to them,” he said.

“There is always interest in Marco from other big clubs, seeing if he wanted to leave, which is normal for the player he is.

“But he always says that he is very happy with Madrid, is only interested in being a success there.”

Benitez wants more

Newcastle United v Southampton FC - Premier League

Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has claimed that he wants to win trophies with the club but also revealed that it is difficult to do that with the squad that he has.

Giving the example of cup games, the former Liverpool and Real Madrid manager stated that he doesn’t have the luxury of risking key players by playing them in cup competitions when they are at the bottom half of the table and in real danger of being relegated, hinting at wanting more signings to do better.

“We talk about the cups and (it's said) 'oh, we don't compete in the cups'. I want to compete and try to win trophies, but you cannot compete in the cups when you at the bottom of the table and you have a risk of two or three key players injured and then you don't have the replacements.

“It’s just so simple to understand. That's it,” he said.

Rumours regarding London clubs

Real Madrid CF v SD Huesca - La Liga

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t signed a single player in the last one year. They have now relocated to their new stadium and are currently in the semi-final of the Champions League, where they are set to face Ajax.

However, the league is a lost cause and they are eying a third-place finish. They may also be having an eye on the summer transfer window as according to reportsfrom Italy, the north Londoners want to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Rome and have already submitted a bid for the player.

While the Romans don’t want to sell the youngster, talks are currently ongoing between Spurs and the Serie A outfit.

Meanwhile, West Ham have been creditedwith an interest for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos. The Hammers are reportedly interested in the player as manager Manuel Pellegrini looks to add to his midfield options.

Liverpool

Real Madrid v Ajax - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: Second Leg

Liverpool are flying high this season. They are just a point behind Manchester City behind and are in the semi-final of the Champions League, where they are going to face Barcelona.

They are also looking at the transfer window from now itself and according to the , Liverpool are looking at the possibility of signing Norwich City player Ciaren Jones.

The defender seems to have caught the eye of the Reds, who could sign him for as little as £200,000.

Meanwhile, according to reports from Spain, Liverpool are asking for Vinicius on loan for a year in exchange for selling Sadio Mane to the Galacticos. While Zinedine Zidane is keen on agreeing to the move, Florentino Perez doesn’t like the idea.

But Zidane is trying to convince the Real Madrid president as he believes that a spell in the Premier League would do a world of good to the Brazilian.

Iwarah declared that his de-boarding was necessary in a bid to guarantee the safety of its crew and customers and said it would not tolerate an act that would jeopardise safety on any of its flights. A passenger with Air Peace was today de-boarded by the airline over claims that he could not communicate in English during safety briefing. The airline in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Chris Iwarah, said that other passengers around him offered to translate what was being said in English to him, but he insisted that the crew must brief him in Igbo language.
