“We All Share The Same Industry Pen1s" - Tonto Dikeh Confirms

About a week ago, controversial actress Princess Shyngle said Nollywood actresses are dating the same boyfriends and even recycling some among themselves.

The Gambian-born actress made this revelation in a post she made on social media, where she further revealed that the fear of voodoo is making her bear the thought of quitting the Nollywood industry.

In the same vain, Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has come out to say female practitioners in the industry share the same men, clothes and movies.

The 33-year old actress made this disclosure in an interview with PlusTVAfrica while reacting to claims of rivalry trends in Nigeria’s movie industry.

Barely five months ago, Ayo Makun, a comedian cum movie producer, had shared a lengthy post on his Instagram post asserting that the Nigerian movie industry is a community where ‘enmity reigns supreme’.

Tonto confirmed that the intense rivalry springs from the fact that actors in the Nigerian movie industry compete for the same goal.

“We are all fighting for the same thing. It’s a circle, we share the same men, the same clothes, the same movies, the same things, so it’s a circle… Why would you want to be friends with someone who wants to take your life?” Tonto said.

Although the actress could not provide any valid evidence to support her claim, she insisted that Nollywood actress recycle and date the same men.

The actress went further to decry the current state of films churned out from Nollywood.

“There is no adrenaline rush when you’re watching Nigerian movies,” she said.

Speaking on some controversies in which she had been caught up over the years, Tonto said though the negative remarks are ‘frustrating’, they have also proven to be beneficial.

“I am still one of the most talked about. The controversy kept me at that stage where I make money from people. I don’t look for trouble, so when you come at me, especially in a negative way, sometimes it is just so frustrating,” she said.

Air Peace De-board Passenger For Asking Attendant To Translate Safety Instructions To Igbo Because 'He Does Not Speak English'

Iwarah declared that his de-boarding was necessary in a bid to guarantee the safety of its crew and customers and said it would not tolerate an act that would jeopardise safety on any of its flights. A passenger with Air Peace was today de-boarded by the airline over claims that he could not communicate in English during safety briefing. The passenger identified as Mr. Christopher Aniagboso told the cabin crew to translate the safety briefing for passengers in the over-wing exit seats in Igbo language and not English as is the standard. The airline in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Chris Iwarah, said that other passengers around him offered to translate what was being said in English to him, but he insisted that the crew must brief him in Igbo language. Besides, Iwarah said that efforts to relocate the unruly passenger from his seat to the other proved abortive despite the intervention of the cockpit crew. He, however, said that the passenger who had earlier on May
