European Giants Set To Offer Manchester United 42 Billion Naira For One Of Their Most Important Players

According to exclusive reports in Dailystar, European giants, Paris Saint Germain are ready to offer David De Gea a package worth almost £90m(42 billion naira) in a bid to lure him from Manchester United this summer. The French billionaires have made De Gea one of their top targets and want him to replace veteran superstar Gianluigi Buffon. Starsport understands PSG bosses are willing to give De Gea a long-term deal worth a staggering £450,000-a-week that will see his wages more than double.

The Spaniard’s future is uncertain after he failed to agree a new contract at Old Trafford, despite months of negotiations. De Gea’s current £200,000-a-week deal runs out next June and United bosses could be left with no choice but to cash in on him this summer for around £50m. Real Madrid have had a long-standing interest in De Gea, while Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping close tabs on the situation.

It is understood De Gea will wait to see where United finish in the table before making a decision on his future. But he will be tempted by the huge wages on offer in Paris and the fact PSG can guarantee him regular Champions League football.

De Gea, 28, has come in for some fierce criticism in recent weeks following a string of blunders that suggest he has lost his focus as speculation mounts he is set to leave Old Trafford. He gifted Chelsea a goal in Sunday’s 1-1 stalemate, but United team-mate Romelu Lukaku insists De Gea has the mental strength to come through his bad patch and return to being the No.1 keeper in world football.

Lukaku, who has refused to commit his own future to United, said: “He is a really positive person. He analyses really quickly what happens to him. “He has the been the best player at the club for seven or eight years consistently. I don’t think we should discredit him like that and suddenly say he is a bad goalkeeper.

“He has saved us so many times this season. It happens to strikers, it happens to midfielders and now it is happening to him. He has to learn from it. Goalkeepers always have a spell when it might be difficult. “He has to continue working hard. I don’t know how goalkeepers get through it, but he works hard every single day. “We are here to support him. He is strong. Mentally he is really, really strong or else he wouldn’t have been the best player at the club for so long. There is no doubting his ability.

“He had a bad time at the start of his United career, as I remember. He was just a kid then, but came through it. “He did what he had to do then, turned it round, won trophies and became the best player at the club and he is a leader in the dressing room. Now it is up to us as a team to help him and trust his abilities.”

Lukaku has been linked with a move to Serie A this summer and when asked about his own future and if he will still be at United next season, the Belgium ace added: “Me? I don’t know. I am not here to entertain rumours. I am still under contract.”

Do you think it is high time Man Utd allow De Gea to leave due to his recent poor performance or they should keep him? Share your view on this in the comment section below… Thanks

Air Peace De-board Passenger For Asking Attendant To Translate Safety Instructions To Igbo Because 'He Does Not Speak English'

Iwarah declared that his de-boarding was necessary in a bid to guarantee the safety of its crew and customers and said it would not tolerate an act that would jeopardise safety on any of its flights. A passenger with Air Peace was today de-boarded by the airline over claims that he could not communicate in English during safety briefing. The passenger identified as Mr. Christopher Aniagboso told the cabin crew to translate the safety briefing for passengers in the over-wing exit seats in Igbo language and not English as is the standard. The airline in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Chris Iwarah, said that other passengers around him offered to translate what was being said in English to him, but he insisted that the crew must brief him in Igbo language. Besides, Iwarah said that efforts to relocate the unruly passenger from his seat to the other proved abortive despite the intervention of the cockpit crew. He, however, said that the passenger who had earlier on May
