Couple Arrested In Port-Harcourt After New Baby Was Found In Their Bag

A couple arrested in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, was able to escape lynching by an angry mob after they found a new baby in their bag.

According to reports, the was suspected of carrying something “unusual’ in her bag and was about fleeing when the angry mob pounced on her and her partner.

They were reportedly arrested behind Steel village in Port-Harcourt.

But for the timely intervention of security operatives in the area, the alleged kidnappers would have been lynched as some people were already calling for their heads.

The Federal highway police officers who intervened in the matter, later took the couple to their station for further investigation.

Iwarah declared that his de-boarding was necessary in a bid to guarantee the safety of its crew and customers and said it would not tolerate an act that would jeopardise safety on any of its flights. A passenger with Air Peace was today de-boarded by the airline over claims that he could not communicate in English during safety briefing.
