Chelsea want Manchester United Target Philippe Coutinho as Eden Hazard Replacement

Philippe Coutinho is showing the first signs of rebellion at Barcelona with Chelsea poised to move for the Brazilian, according to reports.

Barcelona only signed Coutinho in January 2018, paying Liverpool £142million for the playmaker.

But Coutinho has struggled for consistency in his first full season at the Nou Camp and has been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer.

While Manchester United are reportedly eager to sign Coutinho, El Confidencialclaim Chelsea want to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are preparing to lose Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer and will need a replacement for their talisman.

Hazard has his heart set on a switch to Madrid and Chelsea have told Real to meet their asking price if they want to sign the Belgian.

But the pursuit of a replacement, such as Coutinho, could be stopped by Chelsea’s impending transfer ban.

The London club are appealing Fifa’s decision to ban them from signing players for the next two windows.

While Chelsea wait to see what their transfer status will be this summer, Coutinho’s representatives have sat down with Barcelona.

The player is unhappy with his standing at the club as he has moved in and out of Ernesto Valverde’s team.

One of Coutinho’s best performances on the season came against United at the Nou Camp in the Champions League and the forward’s long-range effort was a timely reminder of his ability.

Coutinho’s team has let Barcelona know he is unsettled and asked to be clued in on the club’s long-term plans for him.

Despite paying over £140m for Coutinho just over a year ago, Chelsea may be able to tempt the Catalan giants into a sale with a bid of around £86m.

Meet The Man Who Sold Nigeria To The British For £865k In 1899

This is the story of the first oil war, which was fought in the 19th century, in the area that became Nigeria. All through the 19th century, palm oil was highly sought-after by the British, for use as an industrial lubricant for machinery. Remember that Britain was the world’s first industrialised nation, so they needed resources such as palm oil to maintain that. King Koko Palm oil, of course, is a tropical plant, which is native to the Niger Delta. Malaysia’s dominance came a century later. By 1870, palm oil had replaced slaves as the main export of the Niger Delta, the area which was once known as the Slave Coast. At first, most of the trade in the oil palm was uncoordinated, with natives selling to those who gave them the best deals. Native chiefs such as former slave, Jaja of Opobo became immensely wealthy because of oil palm. With this wealth came influence. However, among the Europeans, there was competition for who would get preferential access to the lucr...
