Liverpool have tied up a transfer move for Polish goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski and are now turning their eyes to Memphis Depay according to reports.

Liverpool Football Club are up and running in the 2019 summer transfer window. The club have confirmed that they will sign Polish goalie Jakub Ojrzynski. With that one in the bag they are now looking towards a deal for Lyon attacker Memphis Depay.

Ojrzynski is only 16-years-old but was highly desired by many top clubs including Manchester United, Juventus and Valencia. He will leave Legia Warsaw for a fee of £200k and will join the Liverpool youth academy Under-18’s who recently won the FA Youth Cup.

He follows in the footsteps of former Polish stopper Jerzy Dudek who played for the club between 2001 and 2007. The youngster was only two-years-old when Dudek made his famous saves in the 2005 Champions League victory over AC Milan in Istanbul!

Now that piece of business is dealt with, the club will be turning to transfers that will impact the first team. The hottest rumor today is that the club have made contact with Lyon for their forward Memphis Depay.

The Dutch international has been in excellent form and will prompt a transfer bid of around £35 million but that could rise to £50 million according to some of the reports being attributed to The Mirror.

There is much that makes sense about a move for Depay. He is hitting the prime of his career at 25-years-old and can cover for at least two of the front three positions.

He is drawn to Anfield due to his connections to Virgil van Dijk from the Dutch squad and, especially, Gini Wijnaldum from previous time together at PSV Eindhoven.

Liverpool are likely to add another forward this summer despite wanting to keep Divock Origi for an extra year extension and Jurgen Klopp’s huge belief in Rhian Brewster.
