Manchester United has reportedly completed the signing of Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt. The Defender’s transfer from Ajax to Manchester United could be a done deal, according to Mundo Deportivo and Marca journalist Diego Martinez. The reporter has tweeted the news just now, stating that an announcement will most likely be held up until after upcoming international games to generate hype over the deal. Martinez has previously accurately tweeted about Alexis Sanchez joining Man Utd, so this could be exciting news for Red Devils supporters. BREAKING: Court of Appeal sacks Ned Nwoko as PDP senator-elect The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has nullified the emergence of Ned Nwoko as the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District. The court in a decision on Thursday said the case instituted at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court which resulted in the recognition of Mr Nwoko as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission was wrongly filed. The appellate court ruled that the matter ought to have been brought at the lower court before the expiration of 14 days from the time of the incidence that birthed the suit. Real Madrid  president Florentino Perez is ready to offer a player to Tottenham to make up the difference in their valuation of  Christian Eriksen . President Buhari The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has dismissed the suit filed by the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and its Presidential Candidate, Ambrose Aworu, seeking to stop President Muhammadu Buhari’s inauguration. In a lead judgment delivered by Justice Joseph Ikyechi, the tribunal dismissed the application for lacking merit. Respondents in the suit which include the President, his party the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) faulted the application and asked the tribunal to dismiss it for lacking merit. The HDP in its application said it will be unfair and unjust to inaugurate President Buhari for a second term on the ground that the validity of the election that produced him has been challenged at the tribunal. A passenger with Air Peace was today de-boarded by the airline over claims that he could not communicate in English during safety briefing. The passenger identified as Mr. Christopher Aniagboso told the cabin crew to translate the safety briefing for passengers in the over-wing exit seats in Igbo language and not English as is the standard. The airline in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Chris Iwarah, said that other passengers around him offered to translate what was being said in English to him, but he insisted that the crew must brief him in Igbo language.
